North Walsham Garden Centre is a proudly independent, family-run business rooted in a rich local history.
Originally the site of the renowned Legrice Roses, known for its rose growing heritage, the centre was purchased by David Youngs in 1999. David brought his passion for horticulture and community to the forefront, developing the site into the much-loved garden centre it is today.
Following David’s passing in 2011, the business continued to thrive under the care of his sister Janice, his son Ben, and daughters Emily and Victoria. Janice, a key figure in the centre’s growth and success, sadly passed away in 2024, but her dedication and spirit remain at the heart of everything we do.
Today, North Walsham Garden Centre continues to offer a wide range of quality plants, garden machinery, landscaping services, and outdoor living products, alongside a welcoming restaurant and regular events. We’re proud to continue David and Janice’s legacy — serving the local community with expertise, warmth, and a true love for gardening.
Frequently asked questions
Are you Dog friendly?
Dogs are very welcome on lead around the garden centre. We do not allow dogs in the restaurant but we do have an outside area they are welcome in which is accessible via the car park.
Do you deliver locally?
Yes we do. We deliver all our items stocked within 20 miles. We do have a delivery charge depending on weight of the items and location.
Do I need to book in the restaurant?
We can get very busy so booking is advisable.

How to find us
We are located in the ‘RoseCentre Retail Park’ 15 miles East of Norwich just off the A149. The site was formerly owned by the famous rose growers ‘Le Grice Roses’ who established a tradition of rose care which lives on at North Walsham today.
From North Walsham town centre
Take the A149 for about a mile and turn right at the junction with B1150. The Rose Centre is clearly marked on the left after about half a mile.
From Norwich
On the approach to North Walsham on the B1150 you will pass a water tower on your left. Nursery Drive ( The Rose Centre) is 100 yards further on your right.
